Joshua Tree National Park is located in Southern California. It is a fun place to do many outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, visiting, taking some photos of our great rock formations, and enjoy the scenery at Joshua Tree National Park! There are two deserts connected to each other, they are the Colorado and the Mojave Desert to make the Joshua Tree Desert.
Campgrounds here are available from September through May. They fill up super fast so you have to reserve a campsite pretty early. They also fill up really quick on the weekends from October till May. During the off season the campsites are first come first serve, so come early and hope you get one. The off seasons are June to September. Reservations can be booked six months in advance. If you are planning to go camping on a holiday, a weekend, or any of the days throughout the week in spring. Which is in September to May. Reserving a site is very highly recommended if you are planning on camping on those dates. We have four of our smallest campgrounds which are first come first serve places. It also has ten picnic areas, and 38 picnic sites.
Joshua Tree was established in 1963 and is one of the largest and one of the most popular National Parks in America. The park receives about 3 million visitors in a year. This park is near Los Angeles and San Diego. There are two entrances to the park, one on the south side, and two on the north side of the park. It is 93 miles of paved roads and 106 miles of unpaved roads. The overlook is 5,000 feet, and you do not want to miss that! While looking at this point you will see the Imperial Valley and The Salton Sea.
